Among Hearthstone's unique features is our commitment to research-based practice. Hearthstone's research division has been funded by the National Institute on Aging and private foundations to complete research on a range of topics relevant to dementia care, assisted living and senior housing. The Hearthstone team has published on the neurophysiology of dementia and its implications for treatment, medication management practices, outcomes measurement, and design of optimum physical environments for those with dementia.
