Hearthstone Alzheimer Care understands that when it comes to excellent dementia care, all members of the care team must be experts and all staff members must coordinate their work as one team. To accomplish our commitment to a teamwork approach, team training constitutes one of the three basic training modules each Hearthstone staff member attends. The team training sessions are taught by John Zeisel, Hearthstone's president. In addition, Alzheimer's-specific training is taught by Hearthstone CEO Joan Hyde, and hands-on caregiving by Sue Blackler and mentors at each site.

The Hearthstone Management Team is a tightly-knit professional group with extensive experience in management, physical design and planning, finance, marketing, research and caregiving. Several of these team members started their careers at Hearthstone as hands-on caregivers and many have personal experience as Alzheimer's family members.
