Artist Agreement
To protect participants living with Alzheimer’s as well as the artist, Artists for Alzheimer’s has each performer sign an Artist Agreement before their first volunteer visit. This protects all parties from the unapproved usage of any material produced through collaboration with the Artists for Alzheimer’s program. Key points included in the agreement are:
- The Artists for Alzheimer’s program and the Hearthstone Alzheimer’s Family Foundation are not-for-profit programs with the aim of supporting quality of life and reducing stigma for people living with Alzheimer’s disease. As such, no profit from any artwork that is created as part of Artists for Alzheimer’s can accrue to participating artists.
- Copyright of all works produced during or about a performance or interactive workshop belong to Artists for Alzheimer’s and any profit from sale or exhibition of such works will accrue to Artists for Alzheimer’s and the Hearthstone Alzheimer’s Family Foundation.
- Artists for Alzheimer’s will work with the artist to promote exhibitions, publications, performances related to the works that result from the program, and the works will not be promoted, or presented in real, virtual or electronic means without the written approval of Artists for Alzheimer’s and the Hearthstone Alzheimer’s Family Foundation.
Participant Agreement
Participants’ family members also sign an agreement in which they donate any materials created by participants to the Foundation. They also use the agreement to either give or withhold permission to use the participant’s first or last name on the Artist's for Alzheimer's website and in any publicity related to the Artists for Alzheimer’s program . |
