The Program Director, a key member of the management team, is responsible for coordinating the activity programming and helping to train and oversee Resident Assistants when they are carrying out activities with the residents. In addition, the PD is responsible for monitoring the overall site décor, including seasonal and activity-appropriate decorations, planning activities, purchasing supplies, and writing posters and brief articles to publicize events for residents, families, and the public.

To qualify to be a Program Director, a person must enjoy being with people with dementia, as well as being a leader with the Resident Assistant staff. Background in occupational, physical or recreational therapies, as well as computer proficiency are desirable.
