Take a trip back in time to 1950 and we'll reminisce about our favorite comic strip. We will use our community computer to visit www.peanuts.com and gather information about the comic strip, and Charles Schultz. We also have a “Peanuts” trivia crossword to do together!

Join us to hear the beautiful harp playing of a returning favorite, Skye Hurlburt. She entertains us with selections from England , Ireland , and Scotland .

Anniversary of Robert Hutchings
We will celebrate the birth anniversary of Robert Hutchings Goddard, the “Father of the Space Age”. Let's explore all the information we can gather about him, and in the evening, we will watch the movie “October Sky” which details the events of his life.

Music of Richard Hughes
Richard Hughes joins us at 10:30 to perform on his keyboard while showing a classic silent movie. Always a crowd pleaser!!!
Wednesday, October 15 th
National Cake Decorating Day
We will gather in the kitchen at 10:30 to bake some cakes which our staff will have to compete to decorate! Make sure to stop by and vote for your favorite! We will have our cake and eat it, too, at 2:30!
Thursday, October 16 th
“Dictionary Day”
A day long celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Noah Webster. Trivia, games, and conversation throughout the day will focus on this very important person and his contribution to our society.

Gourmet Coffee Day
We will sample various flavored coffees throughout the day, and learn about the history of the coffee bean.

Ted Powers at 6:00pm
Our favorite tap dancer will return to dance and sing for us. Join us in the living room after dinner to enjoy Ted's talents.

Magician Eddie Raymond
2:00 pm
Join us as we will kick off International Magic Week. Come and be amazed and entertained by the magic and comedy of Eddie Raymond. A treat for ALL AGES!!! Bring the grandkids!!!!

Cinnamon Day
Did you know that cinnamon has had many other uses than baking, over the years? Wealthy Romans used it as perfume, and in love potions! We will discuss that, and much more, and we'll prepare a treat flavored with (you guessed it!) CINNAMON
