This three day program focuses on Hearthstone’s I’m Still Here™ Montessori-Based Activity Program (MAP), an innovative method of working with older adults living with cognitive impairments based on the educational philosophies of famed childhood educator, Maria Montessori.

This methodology has been researched for over 15 years by Dr. Cameron Camp and his staff, and has been shown to increase levels of engagement and participation in activities of persons living with dementia. Participants in this course will learn the basic principles of this methodology, along with ideas on how to adapt this training to meet the needs of their clients and facilities.
Intended Audience: any professional who provides care for persons with memory impairment including: Activities Professionals, CNAs, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Facility Administrators.

The seminar on Day One provides an overview for administrators, supervisors, and others who do
not need instruction on implementation. All three days of training would be beneficial for direct care workers. CEs and certificates of completion are available, please contact us for more details.
