An Evening Interactive Marionette Show
6:30 pm
Dayle Friedman is a Musical Puppet Therapist, Educator and Entertainer. Dayle joins Hearthstone two times a year and brings with her all her amazing hand made marionettes. We get to learn how to use the marionettes, and see them on stage in an interactive and very enjoyable 1 hour show.

Easter Sunday Celebrations
This Easter Sunday we will continue all of our favorite traditions. At 11:00 there will be a hunt for jelly bean filled eggs. At 1:30 we will continue the tradition of Easter Egg Dying with the whole staff. We will then be joined at 3:30 by Garry Novikoss for a 45 minute live music performance. For dinner we will enjoy a delicious and special Easter Dinner served in our dining room at 5:00.

Pet Therapy with the Good Dog Foundation and Bide-A-Wee

Animals are essential to our lives and give us all a lot of love. Please join us in the Living Room if you love dogs, because we have started on-going Pet Therapy with the Good Dog Foundation and Bide-A-Wee here at Hearthstone every month!

Trip to the Macy’s Flower Show and Lunch
10:00 am - 1:30 pm
Come and experience Macy’s lavish ode to spring at their annual show that is blooming through Herald Square. We will stroll through the lush gardens full of flowers, trees, hot air balloons and much more. Then we will have lunch in their fabulous little café on the ground floor. RSVP with Jodie

Dancing with the Stars with Nathan

Our residents and staff can look forward to 45 minutes of dancing twice a month, to music that really gets us to “shake a leg.”

A Floral Bouquet Door Decoration: Art Workshop
1:00- 3:00 pm
Come and join this month’s art workshop with our friend and horticultural therapist Henrietta Stern. This month we will arrange bouquets of silk and dried flowers using fabric and ribbon, to create a beautiful door decoration that will welcome any guest into our home! Family and friends are welcome to participate.

Celebrate the Birthdays of April – A Live Musical Performance
3:30 pm
Together we will recognize and celebrate all Residents and Staff members who were born in the month of April. We will sing songs; have Carvel Ice Cream Cake and punch and hear what famous person was born on your birthday! Family and Friends are welcome!

“I Remember Better When I Paint”
4:30- 5:00 pm: Light Refreshments
5:00- 6:00 pm: Screening downstairs on the Esplanade Ground Floor
Hearthstone Family Event Families, friends, and guests are encouraged to attend the first international documentary screening of “I Remember Better When I Paint.” The film’s focus is on the use of creative arts as a successful treatment for the symptoms of dementia and how the use of creativity and culture add meaning to the lives of persons living with this disease. This is a one time only event, so please RSVP with Andrea by April 20th. Details will be sent in an emailed invitation.

Intergenerational Day with 92nd Street Y
Once a year high school students from the 92Y will come to Hearthstone to spend a day with our residents. On Sunday the 25th, 10 students will volunteer their time and engage in 3 programs that include the arts, bingo, and a special tribute to Earth Day. Inquire details with Jodie.

West Side Luncheon
The weather will hopefully be in our favor and we will walk as a group to enjoy lunch at a delicious restaurant on the West Side. Family and friends are welcome to join us please RSVP with Jodie by the 20th. We will announce the restaurant of the residents’ choice one week before.
