An Interactive Marionette Show

Dayle Friedman is a Musical Puppet Therapist, Educator and Entertainer. Dayle joins Hearthstone two times a year and brings with her all her amazing hand made marionettes. We get to learn how to use the marionettes, and see them on stage in an interactive and very enjoyable 1 hour show.

Easter Sunday Celebrations
This Easter Sunday we will continue all of our favorite traditions. At 11:00 we will have a Hymn Sing Along in the living room. A chocolate Easter egg baking group will be at 2:00 followed by an Easter egg hunt. Come and join us and view all the Easter Art we have created throughout the week!

Pet Therapy

Animals are essential to our lives and give us all a lot of love.
Please join Esther and her chihuahua Sophie for one hour of pet therapy visit every Monday.
Sophie likes group visits, room visits, and residents to walk her!

Live Music from Lane Chazdon
2:00 pm
Lane Chazdon performed here at the Hearthstone on Valentine’s Day and is back for a one hour Interactive Guitar and Vocals musical show. Come and join us as we sing songs from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s! Performance will be followed by Ice Cream Sundaes on a Sunday!

Creative Dramatics Therapy with Julia Bonsignore

Julia Bonsignore is a creative artist who specializes in dramatics, Improv Theater, and reminiscence therapy. Julia will be an on-going visiting artist here at Hearthstone, and she will bring all of her passions here to our stage. Please join her on the 14th and 28th and bring with you your favorite item, photographs, or memory book!

“I Remember Better When I Paint”

6:00- 7:00 pm – Screening downstairs on the Esplanade’s second floor
A Hearthstone Family Event – Families, friends, and guests are encouraged to attend the first international documentary screening of “I Remember Better When I Paint.” The film’s focus is on the use of creative
arts as a successful treatment for the symptoms of dementia and how the use of creativity and culture add meaning to the lives of persons living with this disease. This is a one time only event, so please RSVP with Ebony by April 16. Details will be sent in the mail with the April events.

Celebrate the Birthdays of April

Together we will recognize and celebrate all Residents and Staff members who were born in the month of April. We will sing songs; have cake and punch and hear what famous person was born on your birthday! Family and Friends are welcome!

Ice Cream Social and Patio Club
3:00 - 4:30 pm
Join us for an Ice Cream Social on the Patio. We will enjoy our sundaes and begin our Patio Club for the Spring Season. We will share ideas for what we want to do on our patio starting this month and through the summer. Families and friends are encouraged to join their loved ones and share their thoughts and ideas too.

White Plains Outdoor Walking Trip

The weather is feeling a lot more like spring. Come and join our walking group as we window shop down East Post Road and stop for a cold ice coffee or lemonade. Family and friends are welcome to come.
