Coordinated Care Non-Pharmacological Treatment
Alzheimer's disease is not curable at present, however its symptoms can be reduced and managed with appropriate, coordinated treatment. The Hearthstone Treatment Program focuses on supporting residents through environmental adaptations, specialized communication techniques, and meaningful activities throughout the day. In this way, despite the very real challenges people living with dementia are faced with each day, they can continue to flourish:

• Staff uses residents' own definition of reality in interactions
• Activities of Daily Living empower residents by focusing on positive emotional outcomes
• Continuous activities promote the sense of belonging to a community and promote the development of each residents' individuality
